Between 2001 and 2004 we also started producing nutritional teas under Etno Trademark and a group of functional curing teas under the name of Herba. In 2005 we placed on the market a group of high-quality natural medicines Phytomicrospheres as a result of cooperation with the French pharmaceutical laboratory GROUPE MICHEL IDERNE (GMI).

Since 2002 we have been operating the most modern tea packaging line in Europe. We guarantee the ecologically pure packaging of tea as we use no glue or metal elements. Liquid products are also packed granting the highest quality,i.e. natural bee honey, jam and syrup retain their useful properties for as long as 18 months.

In 2004 our laboratory moved to a new building and purchased new equipment used for complicated tests: checking the quality of medicinal plants, intermediate products and final products. The laboratory performs morphological and macroscopic identification of the raw material, physiochemical and chemical tests. Biologically active compounds are tested using state-of-the-art equipment. A special Quality Assurance Department regularly controls that the quality of raw plants would conform to relevant specifications and legal requirements. Special attention is paid to the quality of the raw material. Before we purchase herbs, we thoroughly test their samples. Phytochemical, radiological and microbiological tests are performed following the recommendations of the central European pharmacopoeia (1), pharmacopoeias of other EU Member States (Germany, France, United Kingdom) and the World Health Organisation concerning quality control for raw medicinal plants (2). Equally strict quality requirements apply both to medicinal and nutritional teas.

At present the company’s staff is about 80 specialists, and one half of them work in the Production Department. Quality control is ensured by seven specialists (chemists, medicine technicians and biologists).
